General Introduction

Australian Catholic University was founded in 1991. The institution is well-known across the world for the high quality of its teaching and research. ACU has expanded significantly throughout the years, and today has eight campuses across Australia.

  • 94% of research work at ACU meets international standards, owing to a training approach that emphasizes practical learning through internships and real-world encounters.
  • ACU is also among Australia's top 10 universities for student satisfaction and top 5 skills development institutes.
  • According to Catholic Universities Australia data, 94% of ACU's research is of international level or higher.
  • According to The Age, after four months of graduation, 73% of ACU students find a stable job with a good salary. In which the average income is greater than the state's average for universities.

Facilities

ACU has developed significantly throughout the years, and currently includes eight campuses in Australia: Adelaide (no international enrolment at this time), Ballarat, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney (Blacktown, North Sydney and Strathfield) and an international campus in Rome, Italy.

The newest research equipment is available at the state-of-the-art nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, and gymnasium laboratories. The school's campuses are in apartments and private residences that are fully furnished with facilities such as tennis courts and entertainment area. The suburban campus will be affordable while yet being well-equipped and secure, making it an excellent place to live and study.

Programs and Courses

ACU offers a diverse selection of academic programs at all levels, including 4 faculties:

  • Education and the Arts: Including areas of Education, Arts and Humanities, Global Studies and International Development Studies, Media, Social Sciences, Creative Arts, Visual Arts and Design.
  • Health Sciences: Including areas of Counseling, Environmental Science, Exercise Science, Mental Health, Obstetrics, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Community Health, Mind psychology and social work.
  • Law and Business: Including areas of Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Law, Management, Marketing, Occupational Health, Safety and Management environmental management.
  • Theology and Philosophy: Including areas of Biblical Studies, Christian Thought, Christian Practice, Theology, Religious Studies, Ethics, Metaphysics, Philosophy of World Religions , Politics and Epistemology.

For overseas students who desire to enhance their English, ACU also provides a Language Center.

Cost of Study

  • The average annual tuition fee is about 22,000 – 30,000 AUD (Tuition updated annually).
  • International Student Health Cover (OSHC): 480 – 550 AUD/year.

Cost of living and shopping:

  • Student in dormitory: 8,000 – 12,000 AUD/year
  • Students living off-campus: 10,000 – 15,000 AUD/year

University: 

  • Graduated from high school and university
  • IELTS 6.5 or higher

Post-graduate:

  • University graduate in related discipline
  • IELTS 6.5 above

Scholarship

ACU International Student Scholarship

  • Value: 50% of tuition
  • Conditions: GPA 80% - English 6.5 or higher

Entrance Scholarship

  • Value: 50% of tuition
  • Conditions: Meet the entry requirements of the course with Minimum English 5.5

The Ballarat International Student Scholarships: For international students with good academic records and choose to study at the school's Ballarat Campus. For the first two semesters of your chosen study, the scholarship is worth up to 50% of the tuition cost.

Anne Lyons Memorial Travel Scholarship (Sau đại học): Scholarships to provide financial support to postgraduate international students undertaking research in a field of Social Sciences up to 6,000 AUD.
