The academic year in Australia starts in late January/early February (for Primary & Secondary) and late February/early March (for Colleges and Universities). • Elementary & Middle School
School attendance is compulsory in Australia for all children aged 6-15. Students complete High School (approximately 18 years of age) to enter college. Students will then be required to take tests and assessments during Year 11 and Year 12 to earn the High School Diploma.
