Victorian Government Schools (Victoria State Government Education and Training - VIC DET) is located in a small state in Southeast Australia with the second largest economy in Australia - Victoria. 

 

Founded in 1916, Victorian Government Schools provide a high-quality education for students from the first years of elementary school to high school and prepare a profound academic knowledge to enter into the globalized world 

About VIC DET

 

Victorian Government Schools possess 73 primary schools and 111 secondary schools that are enough to meet the learning needs of international students in terms of locations and majors. VIC DET provides an international program and courses called  The Victorian Certificate of Education - VCE for students in grade 11th and 12th to equip themselves with extensive knowledge related to future careers.  The VCE is recognized globally and welcomed to some of the world’s top universities.

Summer Program

This program lasts for 1-12 weeks for international students aged 10-17. Students will have an opportunity to  experience Australian culture first-hand by living  with a  host family.  Student’s foreign language skills are also be improved through the combined English courses of Summer Programs. 

 

Entry Requirements

 

English:

Completion of a 20-21 week English language program in Victoria prior to enter into the main course (subject to entrance test results), or

Submit English language certificates, including:

  • Have studied a program in English for 2 years or more; or
  • Studied in English in an international environment for at least 2 years; or
  • Minimum IELTS 5.5; or AEAS >=80; or TOEFL iBT >=69 or TOEFL CBT >= 196/PBT >= 525; or EIKEN >= 3 when entering grade 10th or Pre -2 when entering grade 11th.

Academic results in the last 2 years above 6.0

Age

Students must be at least 6 years old at the time of Visa application

To be eligible for admission, students must be under:

  • 17 years old for grade 9th
  • 18 years old for grade 10th
  • 19 years old for grade 11th
  • 20 years old for grade 12th
