Fraser International College (FIC) was founded in 1965 in the city of Burnaby, British Columbia, on the campus of Simon Fraser University. The school has been in operation for 54 years, with a 13-year association with Simon Fraser University.

Facilities
While you are studying at FIC, you will be able to use all of the school's facilities and amenities, including the library, swimming pool, gym, coffee shop, health clinic, and student counseling services. You can choose to either live in boarding, with single rooms with internet, share campus facilities, or stay with a Canadian family through “family housing” programs.
Programs and Courses
FIC's programs are specifically designed to help students transition from high school to university and adjust themselves to a new culture, divided into two states:
- Foundation (UTP Stage I): Students will study 8 subjects in 2 semesters as part of a pre-university curriculum aimed to prepare them for their first year of university (UTP stage II). Students will go to the UTP stage II curriculum once this program is completed.
- University (UTP Stage II): UTP Stage II is a combined program with SFU that provides a road to a bachelor's degree in Arts and Social Sciences, Business Administration, Media, Arts and Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Environment and Health Sciences in the second year of university. The UTP Stage II curriculum is the equivalent of one-year university education.
Pre-MBA Program: Students can fully receive a Master's degree after 20 months with the following schedule: 4 months Pre-Master + 1 year Master + 4 months Internship

Entry Requirements
Based on English as follows:
- IELTS 6.0 (Reading and Writing skills 6.0, Listening and Speaking 5.5) students can directly study core subjects of UTP I and UTP II programs
- IELTS 5.5 (Reading and Writing 5.5, Listening and Speaking 5.0). More Integrated English classes and several core courses with credits from the UTP I and UTP II programs will be taught to students.
- Ielts 5.5 (No skill less than 4.5): Students can take additional Cornerstone English classes before taking some core courses with credits of UTP I and UTP II programs.
- If students have IELTS 5.0 (no band less than 4.5): Students can be considered for the ELC-FIC Pathway Program (16 weeks), upon completion students must pass the FIC language Assessment Test to be accepted into FIC's program.
Scholarships
- 2,000 CAD entrance scholarship for students with GPA 8.0+
- 5,000 CAD scholarship for a single student when transferring from FIC to SFU
