Entry Requirements
Graduated from high school with good or above;
IELTS 6.5 – 7.0 (no band score below 6.0) or TOEFL (iBT) 83 – 87.
Accepted tests:
- Canadian Academic English Language Proficiency Test (CAEL) – with a minimum score of 70 and no band below 60.
- International English Language Test (IELTS) – with a minimum score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0 (Nursing and Education programs require students to score a minimum of 7.0).
- Michigan English Language Assessment (MELAB) – with a minimum score of 85.
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic – with a minimum score of 58.
- English test as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) on the Internet (iBT) – with a minimum score of 83 (Nursing and Education programs require a minimum score of 87), with at least 20 for listening, reading and writing skills, and 19 for speaking skills.
Scholarships
Global Leadership Scholarship
International students starting an Ontario Tech bachelor's program can receive up to 18,000 CAD in scholarships each year for four years of study. This is an award for students who demonstrate their academic and leadership abilities.
Recognition Award
International students who have attended a Canadian high school can receive a scholarship of CAD 4,000 for the first year of their training. This scholarship is awarded based on excellent results of 4U/4M courses or equivalent.
Scholarships for currently enrolled students
International students who have commenced a bachelor's program at Ontario Tech can receive up to CAD 3,500. This scholarship is awarded based on a minimum GPA of 3.7 for each academic year of the bachelor's program.
