Pines International Academy

Pines International Academy chronicles its beginnings in the beautiful city of Baguio, at a small location in Dontogan, Green Valley, initially with just five students and two teachers. Currently, Pines English Academy has two campuses, Cooyeesan Campus and Chapis Campus. Pines International Academy is currently a common home for students from countries such as Korea, Japan, and Vietnam. with quantities from 200 can go up to 350 in peak season.

Pines International Academy – Pines International Academy (PIA) was established in 2002. The school is located in Baguio City, a place with high terrain and extremely beautiful nature. Baguio is the leading city for education and resort tourism in the Philippines. Excellent, experienced teaching staff: all teachers work full-time and have professional qualifications, monthly capacity-building classes, also assessed by management monthly.

Class time: distributed into 4 classes starting from morning to evening with 7 to 8 hours of regular classes and 3 hours of elective classes. The school has 2 campuses: Cooyeesan Campus and Chapis Campus:

• Cooyeesan Campus: beginner facility, conveniently located just 15 minutes from the CBD. The campus is close to many amenities such as banks, ATMs, food courts, supermarkets, pharmacies, and gyms.
• Chapis Campus: facility for advanced learners, established in 2013 with a capacity of 150 students and becoming a most sought-after place. Here, with an environment where only English is used, it will help improve language reflex skills. The front building is a study area, IELTS test center, dormitory room 4 and room 6, office, cafeteria, gym, convenience store, etc. The rear building is a single room dormitory. and double room.

In the dormitory, there are many types of rooms including single-room, double room, room 4, and room 6. Students can rent a hairdryer for a cost of 200 Pesos / 4 weeks. All types of rooms are equipped with beds, wardrobes, and machines. Large capacity dehumidifier, separate bathroom, and toilet, shower, desk, etc. Free Wifi is available in the dormitory room.

Programs and Courses

• Power ESL: for the newbies, this course teaches the basic lessons of reading, listening, sample classes; For intermediate and advanced levels, this course strengthens oral and written skills through discussions, essays, and public presentations.
• Intensive ESL: this is a course designed for students who need a lot of 1:1 classes and a lot of self-study time. Students can practice with the teacher to focus on their weaknesses. Since this course only has 2 group hours, students have plenty of time to review and do homework. As a result, students can keep up with their peers and encourage hard work.
• Premium ESL: this is the course with the most 1:1 classes to help improve speaking skills. Subjects can be selected from the topics offered under this course. In addition, students also have elective classes to register for all classes to help improve speaking skills. Students can also practice speaking English with teachers through uninterrupted lessons. This course also builds students' confidence and achieves their goals.
• TOEIC: students will learn knowledge and guide test-taking skills and will have 2 mock tests. This course also ensures high scores, trains students in conversations, and discusses common business situations.
• IELTS course (including IELTS/IELTS guarantee) at Pines will provide 2 courses for practicing English test preparation skills: IELTS and IELTS guaranteed; Students will have an understanding of general knowledge such as reading comprehension and answering questions With the guaranteed IELTS course, students can achieve their goals in 10 weeks of study.

Entry Requirements

Phỏng vấn trước khi nhập học: Với các học viên đăng ký nhập học tại cơ sở PINES Chapis, trường sẽ có thông báo gửi email về thời gian, ngày giờ, lịch cụ thể phỏng vấn qua Skype hay điện thoại. Thường trường sẽ tổ chức phỏng vấn trước khi học viên nhập học 1~2 tuần, nhưng nếu thời gian không thích hợp thì xin vui lòng trao đổi thêm với các tư vấn viên của Phil English. Kết quả bài phỏng vấn sẽ quyết định học viên có thể theo học tại trường hay không. 

Scholarships

If a student changes course from a high-fee course to a lower-fee course, the student will only get back 50% of the course difference. For example, from Intensive ESL to Power ESL: The difference is 90 USD, students will get 45 USD back.
