General introduction
The University of Waikato was founded in 1964, located in Hamilton, New Zealand and a new institution was built for the professional use in Tauranga. The faculty at the University of Waikato are passionate and industry experts, and are willing to support students to improve their knowledge and skills that help them succeed in their careers. Students at Waikato are encouraged to interact, including participating in class discussions as well as asking questions to the faculty.

Facilities
The first school in New Zealand to have a facility dedicated to electronic sports (E-Sport) and support for students participating in this sport.
More than 5 million dollars invested by Government organizations and private organizations to carry out scientific research programs, equipped with lecture halls, modern computer rooms, laboratories and libraries with more than 500,000 books. The university has partnerships with more than 120 research institutes and programs to support and exchange teachers and students around the world.

Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts: The campus is equipped with a concert hall, teaching and performing arts areas.
Adams Center Advanced Performance Center: for the best athletes in the country to train and prepare for competitions in the international arena. The center is equipped with the most modern and advanced support facilities.
In addition, the center also offers physiotherapy, relaxing massage and treatment services. Sports Science Lab: Provides health checked services to professional athletes, sports teams and schools.

Entry Requirements
- Undergraduate level: IELTS 6.0 or higher, with a number of specific requirements of each major.
- Graduate Level: Meet English and academic requirements. Most majors will require an undergraduate degree in a similar field of study. The specific requirements of each industry will be different.
- Postgraduate degree: IELTS 6.5 no band below 6.0. Academic requirements must also be met.
Foundation Programs: Preparatory programs are organized for students who have not met the admission requirements.
Scholarship
International Excellence Scholarship (University of Waikato)
This scholarship supports a maximum of NZD 10,000 in tuition fees for international students enrolled at undergraduate or postgraduate level in academics.
University of Waikato Doctoral Scholarship
Students who intend to apply for a full-time PhD, DMA, EdD or SJD program at the University of Waikato will be asked to indicate their interest in the UoW PhD Scholarship in the Admission Application Form.
High Achievement Scholarship
International students entering the second year of an undergraduate program (full-time) can apply for this scholarship. Students must have a B+ average for their first year of study to be eligible for the scholarship. The NZD 5000 scholarship is awarded to international students in their second year of university.
