Education System in Singapore

Early education 

The duration of Kindergarten education in Singapore is 3 years, for children from 3 to 6 years old. The preschool environment helps children learn how to behave with people around them and prepares them for the elementary education program. Primary

Children in Singapore study the Primary school curriculum for 6 years from Primary 1-6. International students can study with local students right from Primary School. At the end of grade 6, children must pass the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

Secondary

Students at the secondary level must study this program for 4 or 5 years with 2 systems depending on the ability of each student. Students entering the Special and Express systems will complete the High School program in 4 years. Students who choose Normal one will study for a period of 5 years. After finishing high school, students take the O Level exam for the opportunity to continue their studies in a Junior college (JCs) or Polytechnic or Institute of Technical Education (ITE).

University Foundation

Based on the results of the O Level exam, students can apply to study at the University Preparatory School (Junior College). The University Foundation Program will last for about 2 years, helping students build a solid foundation for a university program later on.

After completing the University Foundation program, students take the A Level exam for the opportunity to study at Singapore's public universities or enroll in private universities in Singapore or in the world.

College

If the results of the O Level test are not successful to enter the University Foundation program in Singapore, students can apply to colleges in Singapore. When studying in the College program, students will learn to practice the profession to the maximum, so they will not be surprised when they go to work.

Currently, many students choose the College program because it saves time, has the opportunity to practice and earns money sooner. After finishing the College program, students can also apply to study at universities in Singapore.

Higher education

After getting the results of A-Levels, students can apply to study at one of the 5 prestigious Public Universities of Singapore:
