Part-time jobs in USA

If you hold an F-1 visa in the US which allows international students to enroll in full-time programs such as language exchange, high schools, universities, academies, etc, you can work for 20 hours per week in one semester and 40 hours per week in holidays. However, you can only work in the school in which you are studying. For instance, you could enjoy working for service organizations in your schools such as libraries or canteens.  

As you want to work at another place that is not your school, you have to ask for the allowance at The United States Immigration in the condition that you have already been studying here for at least 1 year since you were granted a visa or now working or interning the job which is related to your specialized sectors.

Co-op Program: Half-semesters are usually held in universities, another half is used for students’ part-time jobs in schools’ programs, which makes the students gain knowledge and earn more money for their income at the same time.
